If there is a heaven on earth, then this is my heaven. This picture is beautiful, and being there - it fills your soul with peace. I know I sound over the top with joy and happiness, but if you are there you can't help but experience it and how it calls you back.

BEIS

What would a trip be like without talking about my beloved Beis luggage collection? I finally got to use my Mini Convertible Weekender on a road trip to Lake Powell. It’s just perfect for a summer weekend at the lake. All I needed was my Mini filled with my Dopp kit, Cosmetic Case and Essential Case.

All matchy-matchy beige of course! I carried the Sport Pack as a cross body. Fit everything I needed; 2 cell phones, keys, essentials and it had credit card pockets and a zipper pocket in the back of it for cash.

And my large Bogg Bag for the beach. Speaking of my Bogg Bag, I got the divider insert and it’s perfect to keep my Stanley in place with other snack items, so they don’t get squished by beach towels and such.

Lake Powell has been an annual trip for our family for more than 25 years. We have taken our boats, kayaks, Sea Doo's, rented house boats, camped and hotels. Each year was always a new adventure. This year I drove there with my two grandsons, daughter and our dog. It's about a 5-6 hour drive from Las Vegas to Page, AZ. It is a beautiful drive and I don't mind it at all.

On the way out we stopped in Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah right outside of California City. What a sight to see out in the middle of the red mountains was a valley of pink coral sand dunes.

We really wanted to see the caves so we stopped at Moqui Caves in Kanab, Utah. It was filled with a short history tour of times past where people lived in there, and as years went on, they turned an area into a bar and another area into a stage for live bands and a dance floor. Lots of artifacts of lives before us. The temperature was about 25 degrees cooler in there. We bought rocks and trinkets for our memories.

Hyatt Place, Page AZ

If you have ever been to Page, AZ you would know that a newer hotel wasn't easy to find a reservation. Level it up and stay at the Hyatt Place! The room was really clean, large, and had 2 double beds and the couch was a pull out that was perfect for the boys to share. The Bar and restaurant was just what we needed after the long day's travel and sightseeing. The outdoor patio's view was amazing.

Overlooking the mountain ranges north of the Grand Canyon and south of Lake Powell. The service from all of the employees was delightful, very helpful and kind. In the mornings we had breakfast in the kitchen buffet area where the selections were plentiful.

Highly recommended and our new favorite hotel to stay when in Page, AZ.
